How We Teach, and Who We Are Looking For
AiOpera's teaching begins with strong artistic foundations and grows into independent creation. This page explains how we teach — and the teaching artists we are gathering to build it with us.

What We Look For
Technical skill matters, but it is not enough. AiOpera teachers must demonstrate patience, cultural attunement, and a genuine delight in how children perceive the world differently.
- Deep training in one arts discipline plus cross-disciplinary curiosity
- Experience with neurodivergent, gifted, or highly sensitive learners
- Bilingual or multilingual communication skills in English and Chinese contexts
- A commitment to process over product, and growth over performance
Join AiOpera
Teach. Create. Inspire.
AiOpera is building a community of teaching artists who believe that arts education can shape not only what children can do, but also who they can become.
We are looking for passionate educators and artists who want to bring their expertise, creativity, and curiosity into meaningful learning experiences for children.
Our Teaching Philosophy
At AiOpera, strong artistic foundations come first.
We believe children need meaningful training in the fundamentals of music and the arts—developing listening, rhythm, technique, movement, expression, artistic vocabulary, and performance skills. A strong foundation gives children the confidence and freedom to create.
But technical skills are only part of the learning journey.
We also believe arts education is a powerful environment for developing social-emotional awareness, observation, creative thinking, and problem-solving.
In our classrooms, children are encouraged to:
- Observe closely and notice details
- Listen to themselves and others
- Express emotions through artistic language
- Experiment with different possibilities
- Make choices and explain their thinking
- Solve creative problems independently
- Collaborate with others
- Learn from mistakes and try again
- Develop confidence without losing curiosity
- Discover their own interests, perspectives, and voices
We do not expect every child to learn in exactly the same way.
A strong teacher observes the child in front of them, understands how that child is responding, and adapts the learning experience accordingly.
From Foundation to Creation
Our teaching approach follows three connected stages.
Foundation
Children first develop the artistic foundations they need to understand and express themselves.
AI Collaboration
As they grow, they explore how technology and AI can become creative tools—helping them develop ideas, experiment, and create original projects.
Self-Creation
Ultimately, we want children to move beyond simply learning or performing. We want them to create, reflect, and discover their own voice.
Foundation → AI Collaboration → Self-Creation
Our goal is to help every child become an independent thinker, creative problem-solver, and confident individual in the age of AI.

What We Value in Our Teaching Artists
Strong Artistic Foundations
You have genuine expertise in your artistic discipline and understand the importance of developing strong fundamentals.
Child-Centered Observation
You notice more than whether a child performed a task correctly. You observe how they think, respond, communicate, struggle, experiment, and grow.
Creative Problem-Solving
You encourage children to explore multiple possibilities rather than always looking for one correct answer.
Social-Emotional Awareness
You understand that confidence, emotional safety, relationships, and a child's sense of belonging are part of meaningful learning.
Creativity & Curiosity
You continue to explore your own artistic practice and bring curiosity, imagination, and experimentation into your teaching.
Collaboration
You are open to working with other artists and educators across disciplines and contributing to interdisciplinary projects.
Growth Mindset
You believe children can develop through practice, reflection, experimentation, and persistence—and you are willing to continue learning as an educator yourself.
Why Teach at AiOpera?
AiOpera offers an opportunity to teach within a growing interdisciplinary arts education model.
Rather than limiting children to a single artistic discipline, we hope to create connections between:
Music + Theatre + Digital Arts + Technology + Human Development
Together, we can create learning experiences that are difficult to achieve within a traditional single-discipline classroom.
Be Part of What Comes Next
If you believe that arts education can help children become more creative, thoughtful, emotionally aware, and independent individuals, we would love to hear from you.
Bring your art.
Bring your expertise.
Bring your curiosity.
Let's create meaningful learning experiences for the next generation.
